Job Summary:
The Electronics Assembly Technician position will contribute to the reputation of the company as the crimp tool industry leader focused on the highest standards of design, quality, reliability, and customer service in the military and aerospace markets. 
This position requires an individual to have a broad knowledge of the principles of electronic technology, the ability to test and troubleshoot electronic devices, the use of common test equipment, and the ability to read and interpret both electrical schematic drawings as well as blueprint drawings. 
This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, who can work independently, as well as contribute and work in a close knit team environment.
Primary Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
  1. Key member of Engineering technical team that is responsible for assembling electromechanical tensile test equipment using blueprints, schematic drawings, and common assembly tools (soldering iron, screwdrivers, wrenches, crimp tools, etc) and ensuring they are completed accurately, on-time, and meet customer quality expectations.
  2. Perform component and system level testing using common test equipment (multi-meter, oscilloscope, timer, etc.) to ensure each new tool is functioning properly and meets the specified requirements.
  3. Using NIST traceable hanging weight sets, perform, document, and certify calibration of tensile test equipment to specified requirements.
  4. Perform component and system level diagnosis and repair of units returned to factory for repair, upgrade, or calibration in an efficient and expedited manner.
  5. Display professionalism while interacting with customers (via email and phone) to troubleshoot equipment, recommend solutions, and answer technical/sales questions.
  6. Accurately inventory parts lists for each job assigned and work with manufacturing to expedite part shortages.
  7. Collaborate with Engineering team members to create, validate, and document new products or processes for electronic integration into tools.
  8. Suggest and participate in enhancement projects that challenge existing product/process concept and design that would lead to enhanced customer satisfaction or value.
  9. Ensure Engineering Manager and Senior Electronics Technician is adequately informed of current status and is aware of any obstructions to successful progression that cannot be effectively eliminated at the Technician level.
  10. Maintain and update documentation by adhering to ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.

Essential Qualifications for success in this role include:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in electro-mechanical product assembly.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in electro-mechanical product troubleshooting and repair.
  3. Proven ability to analyze, solve, and explain problems/solutions with minimal or no direction.
  4. Experience in successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  5. Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with customers, colleagues, and all levels of management.
  6. Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment.
  7. Two year degree in Electronics technology or equivalent military experience in an applicable electronic field.
  8. Ability to lift 50lbs.
  9. Willingness to work in other assembly departments should product demand cycles require it.
